National Vaccine Information Center
The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) is a national, non-profit
(501C3) educational organization founded by parents of vaccine injured children
in 1982. NVIC is the oldest and largest parent-led organization advocating
reformation of the mass vaccination system in the U.S. and disseminating
information on vaccines and infectious diseases. NVIC informs the public about
how to minimize the risks of vaccination and empowers individuals to make
well-considered vaccine benefit and risk decisions. In addition to maintaining
the International Memorial to Vaccine Victims, NVIC publishes a free E-news
newsletter which summarizes media reports and the latest developments in new
vaccine research and promotion, mandatory vaccination law policy changes and
other political events which affect the ability of citizens to make informed,
voluntary vaccination decisions. NVIC President Barbara Loe Fisher writes
commentaries for the E-news. To sign up for the free NVIC E-News, click here O
NVIC has represented health care consumers on vaccine advisory committees and at
meetings and conferences on vaccine research, development, policymaking and
legislation at the state and federal levels. NVIC has held three international
public conferences on vaccination (1997, 2000, 2002) and has spoken out about
the vaccine safety and informed consent concerns of health care consumers in
numerous national and international print and broadcast reports. To learn more
